The well-known Bataclan is a theatre located at 50 boulevard Voltaire in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, France. Designed in 1864 by the architect Charles Duval, its name refers to ‘Ba-Ta-Clan’ an operetta by Offenbach but it is also a pun on the expression “tout le bataclan (the whole caboodle)”, the oldest written use of which pre-dates Offenbach in a journal entry of 11 November 1761 by Favart. Since the early 1970s, it has been a “legendary” venue for Rock Music. The theatre was the scene of a terrorist attack on the night of 13th November 2015, when a mass shooting and explosives killed more than 100 people during a rock concert there. Meet with this luck girl namely Isobel Bowdery is a 22 years old from Cape Town, South Africa who survived the terrorist attack at the Bataclan concert hall in Paris. Isobel was able to save her life by pretending to be dead for more than an hour.
